Kavalan Distillery

Founded in 2005 and located in the Yi-Lan province near the Snow Mountains, Kavalan is Taiwan's pioneer whisky distillery. Positioned on a site with an abundance of pure spring water and fresh air, Kavalan benefits from a unique microclimate that accelerates the ageing process of their whiskies compared with their Scottish counterparts. By mastering this tropical ageing technique, Kavalan is able to produce an array of smooth, sophisticated single malts. The distillery is also known for its innovative use of a variety of cask types, resulting in a diverse and intricate flavour profile that has earned Taiwan a prominent place on the global whisky stage.
