This high vineyard, just under the woods of Montmellian, is renowned for its floral aromas, suggestive of tilleul (lime blossom). The vineyard’s cool environment delivers a beguiling crystalline aspect, while the palate and finish are positive and lifted. Drink 2022-2028.

The 2018 Meursault Les Tillets comes from 0.66-hectares of vine. Not this is tighter and more backward on the nose compared to the En La Barre, slightly earthier in style with flinty, chalky notes reluctantly unfolding. The palate is well balanced with good concentration on the entry, notes of orange zest, white peaches and a healthy dash of lemongrass. Great tension and wonderful spiciness surfacing on the finish that is more outgoing than the aromatics at the moment. Excellent. Neil Martin, Vinous.com (January 2020)
